My students often ask me what my favorite book is. As a teacher, librarian, and someone who loves books in general, that is a very hard question for me to answer very easily! I can't choose just one or one kind of book. I like a variety and a wide range of books for very different reasons. Some I like the plot. In others it is the illustrations and some become favorites because of a personal connection I find I have with the story or author's personal account.
After giving it much thought, I decided that I would create a "MY TOP TEN" list. This list will be a combination of all kinds of books that I read from picture books to novels to books I read with my 3 year old! You may want to read some of my favorites, but I also encourage you to think about and create your own "top ten" list. It could be a list of favorite mysteries, adventure stories, series, or whatever you make it!
